Built for nutrition
I'm on my own — is this too much software for one person? (And does it handle a team?)
It's built to run a one-person practice with no front desk, and to run a clinic with several hands in it — the same software, sized to you.
On your own, booking, records, forms, billing and your clients' portal all live in one place, instead of spread across a booking app, a notes app, a card reader and a spreadsheet. When you add people, everyone works from the same schedule, the same client record and the same billing, with one owner's view over all of it.
How long before I can actually see clients on it?
Your practice comes set up for your profession on day one. The appointment types, the forms and the record structure your work needs are already there — it isn't a blank system you have to build before it's useful.
You add your details, your hours and your services, and you can take a booking the same day. Bringing your existing clients and history across is a separate step, and we help with it — see switching, below.
Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. You can start a free trial, set your practice up, and use it with your own clients before you decide.
If you'd rather be shown around first, you can book a demo with someone who knows the work.
How much does it cost?
Every plan runs your whole practice — scheduling, notes and charting, forms, billing and payments, your clients' portal, your website and your own app, all standard. What changes as you go up is how much of the work the software does for you.
There are four plans: Starter runs the practice, Starter+ makes it remember, Professional makes it work for you, and Team runs it together for a clinic with more than one practitioner. You pay by the practitioner seat — and front-desk, admin and reception seats are free, however many you have. Pay for the year and two months are on us.
The figures for your practice are on the pricing page.
What's the difference between the plans?
Starter is the whole working practice: book clients, chart, send forms, take payment, and run your portal, website and app.
Starter+ gives the practice a memory — the record builds a picture of each client over time, so what you learned in an early appointment is there when you need it later.
Professional puts the software to work for you: booking that helps fill your calendar, drafting that starts your notes for you, and one configured view across the whole practice.
Team is Professional with more than one person in it — the same software, more hands, sharing one schedule and one owner's view.
Do I pay extra for my receptionist or admin staff?
On Team, no. Front-desk and admin people don't cost a seat there — add as many as you need at no extra charge. Starter, Starter+ and Professional are solo plans: one practitioner, one person. When anyone else joins, that is Team.
On Team you pay for practitioners, and the people who help you run the practice are free.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — connect your own domain to your website and your clients' portal at no extra cost, on every plan. It's self-serve, so you can point it yourself in a few minutes; and if you'd rather we set it up for you, we can.
Will I get surprise bills for usage?
No. The plan price is the plan price. The only things that can add to a bill are the few that genuinely cost per use — text messages, telehealth beyond what's included, and generated marketing images or video — and none of them can surprise you.
Nothing bills unless you've set a budget for it, and the system warns you before a booking would take you past what's included — not after. You'll never discover a limit while a client is waiting.
What does it cost to take payments?
You pay the standard fee any processor charges to run a card, plus a flat integration fee from us for handling the payment right inside your practice software — so the booking, the charge and the record are one thing.
The two are always shown as separate lines, never blended into a single rate, so you can see exactly what goes to the card network and what comes to us. It's the same on every plan. The current figures are on the pricing page.
I already use something else. How hard is it to move?
Moving is the thing that keeps most practices where they are, so we treat it as our job rather than yours. We bring your clients, your history and your settings across for you.
On an annual plan the move is free — and that includes crediting back what your current software charges you to export your own data, against a receipt. If you want to see how we line up against what you use today, the comparison pages go through it.
Please don't email us client records or exports. Migration files move only through the secure upload tool inside the app, so your data stays protected the whole way. If you need help moving records, contact us and we'll walk you through the secure path.
Who owns my data — and can I get it out?
Your data is yours. Your practice's records are the practice's, and your clients' records belong to your practice as their custodian — we hold them on your behalf, under your instructions. We don't use them for our own purposes, and we don't sell them.
If you ever leave, you can export your practice's data on the way out. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
Is my clients' information safe?
It's treated as the sensitive health information it is. Client records are encrypted in storage and in transit, and who can open a record is decided at the database itself — a practitioner reaches the clients they have a care relationship with, and admin roles that handle billing don't get a general right to read clinical notes.
Every administrative access, disclosure or export of a clinical record is written to a log as part of the action, not as a step someone could skip. There's more, in plain terms, on our security page.
Where is client data stored?
Client records, clinical files and backups are stored in the United States (Oregon), for practices in Canada and the United States alike. Live telehealth video can be routed outside the United States while a session runs, and recordings and transcripts are stored in the United States. Every provider, and where it runs, is on our providers page.
Canadian privacy law allows this. It requires us to protect your information to the same standard wherever it is held, and to tell you plainly where it is. While information is held in the United States, it is subject to US law and may be accessed by US courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
Your practice remains the custodian of its records. We hold them only to provide the service, under a written agreement with your practice. The detail, including for Quebec and Alberta, is in our privacy policy.
Do my clients get their own login?
Yes. Every client gets their own portal where they can book, see their appointments, complete forms, pay, and read what you've shared with them.
On the nutrition side it carries something the others don't: their meal plan. It lives there permanently, on their phone, always showing the current version — including after you change it — instead of being a PDF they have to find in an email.
Does your AI read my clients' notes?
Not unless you turn it on. The optional AI that helps draft notes, plans and summaries leaves client information out by default, and includes it only where your practice chooses to.
And nothing it drafts becomes part of a record on its own — a practitioner reviews every draft before it's saved. Your clients' information is never used to train AI models — ours or our AI provider's — and we don't use client clinical information for our own analytics or for marketing.
Are you HIPAA compliant?
No software product can be — there is no HIPAA certification and no regulator that issues one, so any vendor selling you the badge is telling you something that isn't true.
What matters is the real relationship. Whether HIPAA even applies to your practice depends on how you bill, and many wellness practices aren't covered entities at all. Where your practice is a covered entity and we handle protected health information for you, we're your business associate and will sign a Business Associate Agreement — that follows from what we do, not from a label.
Our compliance page lays out exactly where you stand and where we stand.
Can I see clients over video?
Yes — video visits are an add-on you can turn on for any practitioner. It's built into the same booking and records you already use, so a video appointment is booked, charged and documented like any other, not run in a separate app you have to bolt on.
Some video time is included with the add-on and heavier use is metered — and, like everything else, it's never a surprise (see usage, above). There's a version that also records and transcribes the session — with everyone's consent, and a visible indicator while it runs — and drops the transcript straight into the client's record instead of a separate note.
Is this really built for nutrition, or generic software with a logo on it?
Built for nutrition, specifically. It carries a meal planner where you lay out a client's week and the nutrition totals add up as you go, a food database of over 600,000 foods and brand-name products with the full breakdown behind every number, nutrient lookup, the energy and macro maths, portion conversion, and the reference tables to cite a target instead of remembering one.
These are the things a dietitian or nutritionist actually reaches for mid-appointment — not a booking app with 'nutrition' written across the top. And the plan doesn't stop at your screen: it goes to the client's portal, where a plan that lives where they already log in gets opened all week, not once.
Can I run a free discovery call and group programmes?
Yes to both, because nutrition works that way. A short free consultation sits as the first appointment type — the front door, because nutrition clients rarely book a full paid appointment cold. And group appointments carry a capacity, so a class or a programme cohort can book several people into one slot instead of you faking it with back-to-back appointments.
Do I have to re-learn a client's restrictions every time I build a plan?
No. The dietary profile — preferences, restrictions, allergies, what they won't touch, what their household eats — is attached to the person, so every plan you build afterwards starts inside those constraints instead of you re-remembering them. It's the thing that saves the most time in the whole toolkit.

Nothing to pay during your trial
When you start your free trial of NutriClient™, you won't be billed until after it ends. That gives you the full two weeks not only to explore what NutriClient™ can do, but to set up and begin running your practice from day one.
A heads-up before billing begins
As your trial nears its end, NutriClient™ reminds you both in the app and by email, and invites you to make any last changes to your plan before subscription billing starts, so your first bill reflects what you're actually using.
Know what you'll pay before you're billed
You manage your subscription yourself, right inside NutriClient™. Your billing amount, your next billing date, and any credits or refunds are laid out clearly for you to review anytime, so you always know what's coming before it's charged.
Stay because it works, not because you're locked in
There is no contract to sign. Pay by the month or by the year, and if NutriClient™ ever stops being the right fit, you can cancel your practice subscription anytime, right from your account. The door is never locked behind you.
Your practice records are always yours
Everything you build on NutriClient™, from your practice details to your client records and their history, belongs to you. If you ever decide to move on, your records move with you, cleanly and completely. We prepare a full export of your practice for you to open if and when you cancel.
Change your plan whenever your practice does
Your plan moves with you. Add features as your needs grow, move up a plan when you need more automation or you're bringing on other practitioners, or scale back when something's run its course — all from inside your account, whenever it suits you.
Only pay for what you're actually using
If a feature or add-on isn't serving your practice, you can drop it and simply stop paying for it — no fees, no friction. What you pay always tracks what you're genuinely getting value from.
Try add-ons free as part of your trial
Curious about an add-on? Add it during your free trial and put it to real use across your two weeks. Keep whatever earns its place, and remove the rest before billing begins — you're only ever charged for what you decide to carry forward.
Registering your free trial is all it takes to get started
By the time you've registered, your practice app is ready to go. NutriClient™ arrives set up to run a practice from day one — so you can add your first clients, create appointments, and open your schedule right away, without a lengthy setup standing between you and your first booking.
Up and running right away — and room to keep building
You're working from the moment your trial begins. From there, it's yours to shape: build custom forms and assessments, care plan templates, your service and pricing library, your practice site and client portal, your branding and letterheads. Everything's ready now, and everything's yours to refine as your practice grows.
No need to set it all up at once
Registering takes just a few essentials to get you started. The rest you add in your own time, building NutriClient™ out around the way you actually work.
Your trial is your practice, not a demo
There's no sandbox and no sample data standing in for the real thing. From your first day on NutriClient™, you can book real clients, run real appointments, and keep real records, exactly the way you will on day fifteen and beyond.
Everything in your plan, from the first day
Your trial includes everything in the plan you choose, along with any add-ons you want to try. Nothing is capped, watermarked, or waiting behind an upgrade, so what you use during these two weeks is exactly what you'd carry forward.
Everything you build carries forward
The clients you've added, the forms you've built, the appointments already on your calendar: none of it resets when your trial ends. Your subscription picks up right where your trial left off, so the work you put in now becomes the foundation you keep building on.
Made for nutrition professionals, not adapted for them
NutriClient™ is made for nutrition practices. It isn't general-purpose booking software with your field added to a dropdown. The language, the client records, and the path a client takes from first booking to ongoing care all reflect how nutrition professionals actually work.
Shaped around the way you practice
Intake, assessments, care plans, appointment notes: NutriClient™ follows the natural rhythm of a nutrition practice instead of asking you to bend around it. Where your approach is your own, the forms, templates, and services you build let NutriClient™ fit you, not the other way around.
Every tool belongs here
The specialized tools in NutriClient™ were designed into NutriClient™ from the start, not added on later. Things like Meal Planning, Food & Nutrient Database, and Supplements sit right alongside your schedule and client records and share the same information, so nothing needs re-entering and nothing feels like a separate system.
Switching is a handover, not a shutdown
Moving your practice to NutriClient™ happens in stages, not all at once. You try it first, your records come across while your new practice takes shape, and your clients move over once everything is ready. The platform you use today keeps running your practice the whole time.
Try NutriClient™ before you move anything
If you're coming from another practice platform, you can run your trial in a private setup mode your clients can't see. It gives you full use of NutriClient™ while you decide whether to bring your practice over. Once your move is underway, our team works with you to extend your trial for as long as it takes to bring your records across and get your practice set up.
Your records come in while you build
Once you decide to move, our team brings your records across from the platform you use today while you set up your services, forms, hours, and branding. That way, your clients' histories arrive in a practice already shaped the way you work.
Your practice history comes with you
Your clients, contacts, appointment history, and billing history move across completely. Past treatment notes arrive exactly as you wrote them, inside each client's record. Before you switch, you check everything yourself, and a plain report shows where it all landed. You also keep an untouched copy of everything your old platform gave you.
Your clients move over with you
When your practice is ready, we help you make the switch. We help you let your clients know what's changing and welcome each of them into their new client portal, so their first booking with NutriClient™ feels simple.
Help is built in at every step
Learning NutriClient™ happens inside NutriClient™. Guided walkthroughs, full courses, and an always-available assistant are there whenever you want to learn something new. When you'd rather talk to a person, our team is easy to reach without ever leaving NutriClient™.
Learn each task by doing it
Every part of running your practice has its own guided walkthrough. Choose what you want to learn, like booking an appointment or adding a client, and NutriClient™ leads you through it step by step in your own practice until it's done.
Courses that show you what's next
When you want to go deeper, NutriClient™ includes courses and lessons on its features, built right in. Your progress is tracked as you go, so you can always see what you've covered and what's still ahead.
Ask Practice Assist™ anytime
Practice Assist™ is an intelligent assistant built into NutriClient™. Whenever you're unsure how to do something or where to find it, just ask, at any hour, from anywhere in NutriClient™.
See it with someone from our team
If you'd like a guided look first, book a demo with someone from our team. Bring your questions about how NutriClient™ fits the way your practice works, and see it in action together.
Reach us without leaving your practice
Need help, spotted a bug, or have an idea for a feature? Send it straight from inside NutriClient™, with no emails or phone calls needed. You'll see live updates as your request is handled, so you always know where it stands.
Real people when you need them
If something isn't working the way it should, our customer support team works through it with you until it's resolved. Whether you message us from inside NutriClient™ or pick up the phone, we're always happy to help.

Things like Meal Planning, Food & Nutrient Database, and Supplements sit right alongside your schedule and client records and share the same information, so nothing needs re-entering and nothing feels like a separate system.
Switching to NutriClient™5 questions
Bringing your practice with you
Switching is a handover, not a shutdown
